All the furniture that I create is made with my original designs and with traditional hand tool craft. All the woods used are locally found and recycled. Traditional furniture making is the “old way” which I seek to follow.
The art of combining form, function, and beauty has always been with me. It is a family tradition to make what is needed and combined with that is a search for well-made art.
Nature has provided in wood this glowing, once living, diversity of color and texture that it is my pleasure to enjoy and display to you. In shaping, joining and finishing this ever changing media I lose track of time.
I am mostly self-taught. My grandfather’s patience and skill is the example I try and follow. At workshops through the years I’ve been able to add new skills. As a working artisan I’ve done over 30 juried shows and have been teaching the art of furniture making for the last 6 years.
