Born and raised in Roundup, Ann Sweeney has lived her entire life in Montana, the last 32 years in Columbus. She is a self-taught artist whose subjects include the beautiful lakes, mountains and plains found in Big Sky Country.Her paintings also reflect the history of Montana-dilapidated homestead buildings, antiques, old train depots. Other favorite subjects include cowboy life, horses, and native Americans, all of which tell of Montana’s rich cultural background.Ann has taught an on-going art class for several years and has held workshops at the Depot Gallery in Red Lodge. Her paintings have been included in group shows at the Cody County Art League Gallery in Cody, Wyoming, White Bird Gallery and Frame, and Art is Everywhere in Columbus. Several local galleries in Montana and Wyoming have shown her art.
